How The Energy Corridor Creates a Place Where Energy Moves
How do you help turn an area into Houston’s second largest employment center and home to 300 multinational companies occupying 22 million square feet of office space? Join Clark Martinson, general manager of The Energy Corridor District, as he shares the evolution of the vibrant Energy Corridor, along with the District’s vision for making it one of the Gulf Coast’s most livable centers. From the District’s beginnings in 2001 – when the area offered limited office space, few sidewalks, fewer alternative transportation options and underutilized green spaces – to 2030 when the area is expected to have 147,000 employees, Martinson will show how a management district is working to enhance the quality of life, improve mobility, attract new development and be recognized internationally as a one of the best places to work, live and invest.

Hug-A-Bear
The Community Relations Committee is sponsoring the annual Hug-a-Bear Campaign to collect teddy bears to present to the Houston Police Department at the February 13th Luncheon Program.
Collected bears will be distributed to the Houston Police and Fire Departments so that officers and firefighters can carry them in their patrol units, fire trucks and ambulances. The bears are used to comfort children who have suffered a traumatic experience or crisis situation. Some of the bears will be given to the Juvenile Sex Crimes Unit Investigators so that they can bring comfort to their young victims. Please bring your new, 12”-14” bear to the February 13th Luncheon Program.
IFMA's GOAL: Collect 500 Bears!
Challenge: Groups or individuals who donate 30+ bears are eligible for door prizes!
Start your company wide campaign now!
