Workplaces for the Next Generation: What Should We Really Be Talking About?

When we say “we need to ‘attract Millennials”, or, “the next generation”, what are we talking about – or what should we really be talking about? The same as we have been, or something different? An interactive discovery session that explores the facts and questions about generations at work, and what really motivates us all to do well at work.

Jesse Garcia, Senior Workplace Knowledge Consultant, Performance Environments

Jesse is responsible for helping clients envision their future and optimize space based on business priorities. He delivers the entire Performance Environments offering which includes: Visioning, Workplace Evaluation, and Change Management. Jesse is also a knowledge leader at Herman Miller, bringing relevant insight to our customers and designer partners.

Jesse joined Herman Miller in 2007 managing the Customer Experience in North Texas. He elevated the sales engagement process by using his professional and academic background to present insight to business clients in a manner that created opportunities to learn and explore. Prior to joining Herman Miller, Jesse was a corporate marketer in the insurance and financial services industry. 

Jesse has presented in different settings, including the Colliers Canadian Office Leasing Conference, NeoCon East, USGBC Live Green Expo, ASID/National Leadership Summit, IIDEX/IDS Toronto, MinneCon, Texas Society of Architects, IFMA/San Diego, IFMA/Utah, and IIDA/Oklahoma. He built a traveling lecture series on professional business practices for A+D firms with sessions at Staffelbach, Corgan, Page, Ziegler Cooper and Gensler-Houston & Seattle.
