"An American Energy Outlook: Where are We Going from Here?"

John Hofmeister
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Citizens for Affordable Energy

John Hofmeister, Former President, Shell Oil Company, will offer his perspectives on the current state of energy in the U.S., including the oil and gas outlook, and a look forward to the next decade of producing, consuming and further addressing energy and environmental needs of the nation.  Do we embrace the Green New Deal and ban fracking, as some candidates for high office are promising?  Or, do we proceed to full energy independence on the path we’re on?  Or, what?

The author of Why We Hate the Oil Companies: Straight Talk from an Energy Insider (Palgrave Macmillan 2010), John continues to be an active participant in the nation’s energy future by serving on energy company boards, the National Petroleum Council, Fuel Freedom Foundation, Citizens for Affordable Energy, and teaching at University of Houston, Kansas State University and serving as a Wrigley Scholar at Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability.  He also provides commentary about energy on CNBC, Fox Business, and multiple other TV and radio broadcasts across the nation.
